A HEREFORDSHIRE pub is under new management as Christmas approaches.
The Horseshoe Inn, in Ledbury, has been taken over by partners Annette Heaney, 46, and Mick Davie, 40.
Originally from Birmingham, the couple have lived in Ledbury for 14 years and also own the Royal Hall across the High Street.
After a turbulent time in which Ms Heaney was involved in a car accident and was subsequently diagnosed with breast cancer, she wanted to find something she could do.
And her family having been in the advertising business for many years, she decided to follow in their footsteps.
“It’s a new venture for us,” Ms. Heaney said.
“We hope the pub will be as busy as before.”
All the staff and chefs will remain the same so that customers can have continuity, she said, while the pub will offer most of their usual dishes, including their popular tapas and pizzas, with tapas now served. all day.
Families and children are also welcome.
“It’s a family-friendly place, so supervised children are more than welcome until 9pm,” she said.
The couple will be behind the bar ready to personally greet patrons from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Christmas Day, and the pub will also be open on Monday, December 27 to coincide with the Ledbury Hunt.
The pub will now open Sunday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to midnight.
Meals will be served Monday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
