HVMG wins management of Marriott resort in Florida
Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG) has taken over the management of the 219-room Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa. The property was recently acquired by Key International and Wexford Real Estate Investors (WREI).

The resort is surrounded by the white sands of Pompano Beach and is close to Deerfield Beach. Nearby attractions include Shipwreck Park, Pompano Park Amphitheater, and South Florida Diving Headquarters. Resort facilities include two swimming pools, a fitness center, 8,200 square feet of event space, a day spa, and two dining outlets.

The property is the latest addition to Key International’s active hotel acquisition program, which focuses on purchasing well-located hotels and resorts in robust markets in the Southeastern United States and in Europe, according to the company. In partnership with WREI, the company is planning a major renovation of the resort, creating a new resort-style pool deck and improving the room product as well as the on-site restaurant. Together, Key International and WREI have developed several Florida beachfront hotels and resorts with current assets in Panama City Beach, Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Valor Hospitality to manage the Scores hotel
