MozillaComment started rolling out the version 103 update for firefox on macOS. The latest browser update brings a host of new features, including support for 120Hz monitors, improved responsiveness, and more.
With update 103, Firefox now supports 120Hz refresh rate displays. Which means it’s also compatible with 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. This will allow users to enjoy smooth scrolling while browsing using the Firefox browser.
In addition to that, Firefox 103 also includes a new modern lockdown API that improves overall browser responsiveness under heavy load. The browser now also highlights required fields in PDF forms.
Other improvements include updated Picture-in-Picture (PiP) captions that allow users to change the font size directly from the PiP window.
In addition to these, Firefox 103 also includes keyboard shortcuts. Users can now access tab toolbar buttons with the Tab, Shift+Tab, and Arrow keys.
The Firefox 103 Update is now available for download on macOS and Windows operating systems. To download the update, follow these steps:
From the menu bar, open the Firefox menu and choose About Firefox.
Firefox will automatically check for updates. If an update is available, it will be downloaded.
Restart the Firefox browser to install the update.
