Memorial Day is almost upon us, which means it’s time to get your swimsuits out of storage, start shopping for sunscreen, and plan your pool party on May 30. Not only does the holiday bring with it the first three-day weekend in three months (it’s really long, isn’t it?), but it also means something bigger: the arrival of a sweet and mild summer. And I’m going to applaud that. (*Cue “What time is it” by the High School Musical 2 cast.*)
After the last two years we’ve had, I really bet this summer will be good, and I think we should all at least try to kick off the season in style. Naturally, that calls for a drink or two (or three?). Sure, you can pop by your local Walgreens and buy a six-pack of fortified seltzer, but I suggest we put a little more effort into the festivities this year. Get a little fancy. Buy this new bottle for your bar cart. Use a shaker. We deserve it, people! We’ve kind of reached Memorial Day 2022!

2oz. Rum Haven
¾ oz. Italian appetizer
2oz. pineapple juice
¼ oz. simple syrup
¼ oz. fresh lime juice
Add the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice and shake together. Strain into a double rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a pineapple and lime garnish.

8oz. ice cream in a blender
1 ¼ oz. Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey
¾ oz. White Rum
2oz. pineapple juice2oz. coconut cream
2oz. strawberry puree
Pour the strawberry purée into a glass. Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour them into the glass. Garnish with a strawberry.
1.5oz. Aviation American Gin
0.5oz. grapefruit juice
0.5oz. lime juice
0.5oz. simple syrup
Half wheel of grapefruit
Combine all ingredients except club soda in a shaker with ice. Shake, then strain into a glass with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with half a grapefruit wheel.

2oz. Feather and Petal Lemon Drift
1 dose of raspberry liqueur
1 dose of lemon juice
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a coupe or martini glass. Pierce three raspberries with a toothpick and garnish.

2oz. King St. Vodka
½ oz. dry vermouth
3 ripe raspberries
Mash 3 ripe raspberries, add 2 oz King St. Vodka, 1/2 oz dry vermouth and shake with ice. Serve in a chilled martini glass. Optional: Add 1 dash of lemon or berry bitters before shaking.

3pcs GH Mumm Large Cord
1 part Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato
1 dose of watermelon syrup
0.75 parts fresh lemon juice
Measure all ingredients except GH Mumm into a shaker box. Add ice and shake briefly and vigorously. Strain into a cold glass with ice. Garnish with GH Mumm and garnish with a sprig of mint.

Hibiscus tea bags
2oz. ruby red grapefruit juice
½ wheel of ruby red grapefruit
Rim: a blend of hibiscus tea and sea salt
Hibiscus tea bags infused in Camarena Silver. Remove the tea bags and add the ingredients to an ice-filled glass rimmed with a mixture of hibiscus tea and sea salt. Garnish with ruby red grapefruit slice and sea salt.

2 volumes of New Amsterdam vodka
2 parts lemonade
2 parts sparkling Moscato
Lemon rolls, strawberries, raspberries
Add ingredients to a highball glass filled with ice and stir to combine/chill. Garnish with slices of lemon, strawberries or raspberries.

Cocktail Juniper Champagne
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup crushed juniper berries
1 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup of prosecco
Prepare the syrup by simmering the sugar, water and berries in a saucepan. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Leave to cool before straining the liquid through a sieve. Refrigerate for one hour. Mix 3 tablespoons of syrup with the prosecco. Stir and enjoy.

1 cup raspberries (you can use frozen!)
4 12oz. bottles of fresh Corona Extra
1 jar of pink lemonade
1/2 cup vodka
Lime slices and fresh raspberries for garnish
Mix raspberries, Corona, lemonade and vodka. Serve in a pitcher with plenty of ice. Garnish as your heart desires.

1 ounce of Cointreau
2 ounces of tequila
0.75 oz lime juice
2 oz ginger beer
Add the Cointreau, tequila and lime juice to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a glass over more ice. Finish with ginger beer and garnish with lime.

The GBC (Gin, Basil, Cucumber)
3 slices of cucumber
3 basil leaves, cut into small pieces
1/2 tablespoon sugar or simple syrup
1 oz. Gin
1/2 cup crushed ice
1/2 cup tonic
Lime juice to taste
Add sugar and gin to the class. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Mix the two cucumber slices and the two basil leaves. Add ice, tonic and lime juice to taste. Garnish with the remaining cucumber slice and basil.

1 1/2 bottles of chilled Muscat
1/2 cup triple sec
Juice of 3 limes
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3 cups blackberries
3 cups blueberries
6 kiwis, peeled and sliced
2 cups diced pineapple
2 cups diced mango
2 cups strawberries, halved
In a large pitcher, combine the moscato, triple sec, lime juice and sugar until combined. In separate glasses, layer the blackberries, blueberries, kiwis, pineapple, mango and strawberries. Pour the wine over the fruit and serve.

4 oz. prosecco
splash of soda
Pour the prosecco into a glass filled with ice. Add Aperol, club soda and orange. Stir and sip.

1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup chopped strawberries
1 cup tequila
1 cup of Muscat
1 cup triple sec
1/2 cup lime juice
2 cups of ice cream
Pour the sugar into a small dish. Garnish glasses with lime wedges and dip in sugar. Combine strawberries, tequila, moscato, triple sec, lime juice and ice in a blender. Blend until smooth, then divide the mixture into 4 glasses. Garnish with lime wedges.

0.5oz. triple sec
1 oz. cranberry juice
6 limes, juice
12 cups of ice cream
Blueberries and strawberries
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher filled with ice. Garnish with blueberries and strawberries.

1.5oz. White Rum
1 oz. blue curacao
3 oz. ICE Sparkling Lemonade
Blend all ingredients with ice in a blender. Blend on high until it becomes slushy. Pour into a glass and garnish with the fruit of your choice.

1.5oz. GRAY GOOSE Le Citron Flavored Vodka
0.75oz. Orange juice
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 oz. club soda
Mix all the ingredients in a glass. Stir vigorously and top with club soda.

Pour the rum into a glass filled with ice. Top with juice and soda. Garnish with a lime wedge.

3 oz. lemonade
2 slices of lemon
Combine lemonade and vodka in a tall glass filled with. Add blueberries and lemon slices and stir.

2oz. Tequila Blanco Suerte
8 oz. watermelon juice
1 tbsp. agave nectar
1 lime, juice
Combine all ingredients in a glass and stir. Garnish with a wedge of watermelon.

1.5oz. Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth
1 oz. Bourbon
1 dash of celery bitters
Combine all ingredients except beer in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with lager beer.

0.75oz. Lime Soda
0.75oz. simple syrup
0.5oz. tomato water
4 watermelon cubes
6 mint leaves
2 dashes Pork Barrel Hellfire Bitter
sprig of mint
To make a simple syrup, mix equal parts hot water and sugar together until the sugar is dissolved. Crush the watermelon and mint leaves in a shaker. Add the ice and the rest of the ingredients except the mescal. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with mescal.

Moet Ice Imperial
Mash the cucumber and mint leaves in a glass. Complete with champagne.
1.5oz. PAMA Pomegranate Flavored Liqueur
1 oz. Campari

Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with orange slices and a sprig of fresh herb.
