Latest landscaping equipment to be showcased at Rental Mart in Mississauga

Landscaping equipment will be among the merchandise on display at Rental Mart September 27-28 in Mississauga.

The return of Canada’s trade show for the equipment rental and event industry brings with it a refreshed and revised approach featuring many “firsts” never before seen in the 30 year history of the exhibition.

“Due to Rental Mart’s biannual schedule, two years of COVID restrictions meant four years without a live show,” says show manager Robert Elias. “We saw this as an opportunity to really take a hard look at what we’re doing and make changes that we believe will add excitement and newness to the 2022 edition and future Rental Marts.”

An obvious first is the move to an autumn date: September 27 and 28. Rental Mart 2022 was originally scheduled for its regular time in March, but Omicron’s January push in Ontario forced a postponement. But, depending on how things go, the fall date may become a permanent change. Spring is a busy time for rental shows, as it is the hot season to purchase rental equipment. But a fall date can allow the Rental Mart to avoid scheduling conflicts with other shows, especially the ARA show, while giving attendees a second chance to watch the fleet before winter and exhibitors a chance to showcase some of next spring’s offerings earlier.

“We will carefully assess the response to Rental Mart 2022 to inform our decisions about future editions,” says Elias.

Next on the list of changes is a focus on education and discussion with exclusive high profile speakers. Tony Clement, the former federal Minister of Industry, will share his thoughts on the supply chain issues we all face in his keynote address followed by a Q&A session. His industry and workforce expertise led him to co-found Reshoring Canada, a group that champions Canadian supply chain modernization and aims to bring manufacturing back to Canada. He will appear on the center stage of the Rental Mart, to share his insights and recommendations on what Canada and its citizens can do to protect access to needed equipment in the future. In another first, Center Stage will be located directly on the lounge floor with an adjoining bar so attendees can watch presentations in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

Seeing the latest offerings from Canada’s top rental fleet providers is nothing new to Rental Mart, but the 2022 edition will feature some fresh faces. Visit to familiarize yourself with some of the dynamic companies looking for business.
