MASON CITY, Iowa (KWWL) – The historic Park Inn Hotel in downtown Mason City is under new management. Indigo Road Hospitality Group in Charleston, South Carolina, will resume hotel operations effective January 1, 2022.

IRHG will take care of all hotel operations including the restaurant and bar. The most recent restaurant, 1910 Grille, closed in mid-2021 due to staff issues.

The 27-room hotel is currently managed by the Stoney Creek Hospitality Corporation. It is the last remaining hotel designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It was originally designed as the City National Bank, Law Offices and Hotel in 1909. It was restored to a working hotel and event center in 2011.
