Loftness introduced their Bad Ax disc mulcher for skid steer loaders, ideal for a wide range of applications including land clearing, vegetation control, fire prevention and more.
The Bad Ax features a fully machined 60 inch diameter disc designed to cut trees up to 14 inches in diameter. Because the disc contains no welds, there are no areas prone to stress cracking. The disc is driven directly by the machine’s hydraulic motor to apply 100% of the power to the job at hand.
The Bad Ax includes a breaker bar as well as counter tines to hold the material in place while it is being ground. This proprietary design allows the unit to cut material into finer particles than competitive products are capable of producing.
Available in 60-inch, 72-inch and 84-inch cutting widths, the Diamond Mowers ProX Brushcutter excels in dealing with thick grass and brush. Ideal for vegetation management, fence maintenance and large-scale brush cutting, it cuts four inches continuously and material up to 10 inches in diameter. This versatile attachment for skid steer loaders and compact track loaders features four hydraulic motor options and Diamond’s exclusive Tri-Hex mulching disc. Made from 50,000 psi steel to provide greater inertia in tough conditions, three hardened steel blades swing and break loose around rocks to keep operators and bystanders safe while providing the strongest blade retention Of the industry.
FAE expands its range of excavator forestry mulchers with Bite Limiter technology with the new BL5/EX/VT. This new head is perfect for handling and clearing vegetation in wooded areas, especially for jobs requiring high capacity and high mulching speed. The BL5/EX/VT can chip logs up to 40 centimeters in diameter, works with 24 to 36 ton excavators and has a working width of 160 centimeters.
The best feature of the BL5/EX/VT is the rotor with Bite Limiter technology. It has wear-resistant special steel profiles that limit the range of the teeth. This reduces the power demand and promotes a constant working speed, for excellent performance when chipping any type of wood. Bite Limiter technology also minimizes rotor stall and optimizes fuel consumption.
The heart of a brush mill system is the rotor design. On the Baumalight MS972 brush mill, the 900 series rotor tines are available in either dual carbide tipped ripper or single blade planer style. The carbide ripper tooth is the right general purpose tooth for mulching with heavy ground contact. For applications with fewer stones, the planer tooth is a more efficient option.
A skid steer brush mulcher is the most comfortable way to manage vegetation because your work is directly in front of you. Also equipped with a push bar, directional felling hook and optional two-speed motor, this heavy-duty brush chipper is sure to impress and meet customer needs.
The redesigned Davco BC604-EVO brushcutter has evolved into a lighter, more economical and durable three-blade brushcutter designed for the 20-30 GPM compact track loader and skid steer loader market.
The new style disc has improved durability and is more economical than its hard to beat predecessor. Davco’s industrial-strength brushcutters are designed, engineered and built with efficiency, productivity and ultimately cost per acre cleared in mind.
Davco builds several models of industrial-strength skid-steer trimmers with low operating costs, low maintenance, ranging from a two-inch to an eight-inch cut.
The Seppi Starsoil combined tiller-shredder is a machine for more work. Specifically, stone crushing, wood mulching and tillage to a depth of 40 centimeters. With the two-speed powershift transmission for PTO tractors up to 310 hp, the operator can easily switch between rotor speeds, from the tractor himself and with the machine running.
In slow speed, at around 500 rpm, the machine is suitable for all soil cultivation and stone crushing. In high speed, around 1500 rpm, it is suitable for surface mulching. Switching takes place via the tractor’s ISOBUS terminal. Even the temperatures are monitored by the control unit to intervene quickly in the event of malfunctioning of the cooling circuits.
The Tigercat 760B is a 550 hp class carrier mulcher that shares major components with the proven, similar class Tigercat 480B tracked mulcher, as well as the popular M726G wheeled mulcher. The 760B was designed primarily for forestry applications. Forestry companies need the ability to effectively clean residual post-harvest forest debris and grind stumps at ground level. The 760B meets this requirement and the machine will also find application in large scale land clearing and right of way projects.
Tigercat has also designed a three meter wide mulcher head to complement the all new forwarder. The 4061-30 mulching head is based on the original Tigercat 4061 2.5 meter, with several updates and improvements.
The 2.5 meter 4061 has been renamed the 4061-25 and includes the same upgrades as the larger head.
John Deere has updated its line of rotary cutter attachments with the RX72 and RX84. These models are designed for heavy-duty vegetation management applications, including property maintenance and right-of-way clearing. Rotary cutter attachments are compatible with 330G to 333G, and they are equipped with high flow hydraulics and heavy duty door. Features include three thick forged AR400 steel blades measuring 15.9 millimeters (0.625 inches), which provide aggressive cutting and long life. A pressure gauge is easily visible to monitor blade load to optimize cutter performance.
Handle tough brush-cutting jobs with ease with the industry-leading Brushcat rotary cutter attachment designed and built for construction, agriculture, municipal, and parks and recreation applications.
With the powerful brush-cutting action of the dual offset blades, the Brushcat Rotary Cutter shreds small branches and saplings and cuts through the thickest grass and brush. A light, short deck and superior oscillation allow the trimmer to follow the contours of the ground to maintain a clean cut, even on slopes.
Bobcat Brushcat rotary mowers are available in five cutting widths, with two models designed for use with Bobcat small articulated loaders and mini track loaders.
Fecon introduces the RK6015, a larger mulching head for use with most standard skid steer loaders, Avant type wheel loaders and other forwarders that provide 17-27 gpm of hydraulic flow, have enclosed cabs that can be properly protected with the appropriate polycarbonate protection. , and have the capacity to carry the prop of 1490 lbs.
A bite-limiting split-ring rotor holds 26 knife or carbide-type cutting tools and has a working width of 60 inches. Operating at 2400 RPM, it can easily mulch brush and small trees up to five inches in diameter, making it an excellent tool for clearing brush and general vegetation management.
