Celtic legend John Hartson is enjoying the offseason with a trip to Ireland where he met MMA star Conor McGregor.
The Parkhead hero is enjoying a break from punditry duties over the summer and made time to meet McGregor for a meal in Dublin.
Former two-division UFC champion McGregor has spoken publicly about his support for Celtic, so he was delighted to meet Hartson at his bar and restaurant.
The couple met at McGregor’s The Black Forge Inn where Hartson enjoyed a steak.
But, in a clip shared by McGregor on Twitter, Hartson appeared a bit taken aback when huge flames erupted from his steak as it was cooked in style at the table.
Posting the video, McGregor wrote: “Legend @CelticFC himself, Mr @JohnHartson10 enjoying some of the best food and drink Ireland has to offer at @blackforgeinn”
The dinner with Hoops hero Hartson comes just months after McGregor claimed he was interested in buying Celtic.
In March, he explained: “I’m not talking in jest. I’m exploring this, like I said.
“Dermot Desmond’s Celtic, Manchester United of the Glaziers, and now Chelsea Football Club recently put up for sale.
“Everything is being explored. A football franchise buyout is in my future, make no mistake about it.”
