BOSTON (CBS) – According to WBZ I-Team sources, there have been several recent reports of drinks containing drugs in downtown Boston.
Boston Police are now warn people to be aware of their cups in local bars and clubs, citing dangerous drugs – such as Rohypnol – can easily be placed in the drinks of unsuspecting victims. The medicine has no color or taste.

Some people we’ve spoken to while enjoying their Thursday night say they keep in mind different ways to stay safe.

“You should never leave your drink unattended; you should also go out with trusted friends and you should have a support system, ”said Dia Riegler, a Boston resident.
“I would put an inch on a beer or a friend would put a coaster on it,” said Jean Finnegan, a Boston resident.

Boston Police said the drugs can cause disorientation, confusion or loss of consciousness and encourage people to take drinks directly from a waiter or bartender, always watch your drink and keep watch. hand over your drink when you’re not looking at it.
