“A gang steals Iesco material”


Islamabad: Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) filed FIRs against a gang that steals electrical equipment from power transformers in different areas of the federal capital, inflicting not only financial losses on the electricity company but also inconvenience to consumers.

According to the Iesco spokesperson, a group of thieves are active in different areas of Islamabad, especially in areas F-11, F-6, G-7 who steal bus bars and other electrical equipment from power transformers; thus not only causing lengthy power outages for consumers, but also financial losses for the business.

The management of Iesco and the SDOs concerned have filed FIRs against these elements in the police stations concerned and the Iesco teams are also active on the ground so that these elements can be apprehended and handed over to the forces of the order.

IESCO management has asked customers to help Iesco meet its moral and national responsibility and if an unauthorized or suspicious person is seen near the electrical installations, they should immediately report it to SDO F-11 Mobile.
